While Trojan is an excellent brand very few converters come close to the charging specs.

Regardless the best way to determine if the 12v connection is adequate is to compare the battery voltage to the inverter input voltage while the squeal is present.

Inverter is in the bedroom near the tv
I think you are going to need bigger gauge wire from batteries to inverter
Or try to move the inverter closer to the batteries and use a longer 120v extension cord
The inverter is a lot more sensitive to voltage drop than the tv is

Interesting statement. The coach has 1 year old Trojan deep cycle 6 volt batteries. I don't go cheap with what ever is on sale this week at Wally's. As far as maintaining the batteries they either get their charge from the coach or ground power when it is not being used and it's on my property.
All my vehicles are on a regular maintenance schedule. First class, top shelf products.

I have a little digital LED voltmeter right along side each tv, right where you need them. They read the dc voltage output of the small inverters. I NEVER have to wonder about battery voltage. The volt meters cost 2 bucks on ebay.

The tank should have a float gauge on it (though it may not be particularly accessible), and that ought to be as accurate as anything. There likely is a little sender on the float gauge face that provides the signal for the interior three light panel (and also makes it hard to see the pointer on the actual gauge).

If for some reason the float gauge isn't working, a propane dealer should be able to fix it up pretty easily. Look for the kind of place that rents cylinders for homes and has trucks to deliver propane and such, not just a store with a propane fill station on the side.

Exactly, last night I turned on the Tv and the squealing started, too tired to check the battery voltage. Ill do it once I get home after this race. i wasn't using the TV with the gen on.
As far as the LP tank ,it is a permanent mount on a class C. My TT had two tanks like you mentioned and a screw on gauge was accurate.

When operating off the generator you are not operating off the inverter, so it makes sense that the inverter shuts down or drops to idle while gen is running. Can you describe the squeaking? Like I mentioned, my squeak was from the inverter cooling fan.
