When you first turn the key to run position without cranking it you should hear the in tank fuel pump cycle on for x number of seconds and then shut off. There is a schrader valve on the fuel (rail or pipe) system somewhere on the engine. If you remove the cap and touch the valve stem you should get fuel. Use a rag and obviously dont get it in your eyes. It's just a crude test of seeing if any fuel is available.
From there you can install a pressure gauge on the valve and read fuel pressure. You can have good fuel pressure and not volume. At this point you basically want to see something available at the schraeder valve. The car wasn't bumped hard and caused the fuel pump shut off to activate was it?
Nothing coming out the valve, switch in the trunk was ok, ( Im assuming because it was pressed down) couldn't hear the fuel pump but hard of hearing, wife couldn't hear it either, couldn't find a fuse for the fuel pump if it even has one. Did find a little round disk like objecty in the line that went to the schroder valve, trying to find some info on it now.
