Stuck with my slides out

just reading the op response, it looks like he had a relay that wasnt getting power when he pushed the room operation switch. winnebago uses its own switch for room operation and its notorious for failure. i carry one just in case.
its always wise to download service manuals for any of the systems that are on your coach.
all of the manuals from hwh corp. are free, on www.hwh.com. it would have walked the op thru the diagnosis.
there are wiring diagrams, location of components, and lots of useful information on the website.
note*** all of the relays, master, jacks, and rooms, are mounted on the pump assembly. usually on winnebagos of larger size, the pump assembly is located under the step area. it can be accessed by removing a nut under the step lip. the step raises up for access to the top of the pump. manufacturers choose the location of the pump. not all are located in a convenient spot.

Thanks for telling us what the problem turned out to be, it may help someone else with an Itasca Horizon pinpoint the switch location.

Thanks again all. We got it after connecting a little jumper wire across the solenoid. Guess it had stuck in one position. When we connected the wire , there was a little click and all slides worked great. On my 2004 itasca horizon A, it was located under and behind the steps. Oh, and the rv tech came out and this time did not even try to charge me. Still a little expensive lesson, but i learned something, so all is good. Thanks to all who responded....randy

It's not a TT It's a MH and he jested about getting exocise cranking them so he's aware.

We don't start the engine, but we do turn on the ignition key to bring in the slides. Yep on the silver circuit breakers. One of ours failed too. Also we found loose wires where the slide motor was connected.

Have you checked your converter?? The converter supplies DC power to charge up your batteries. If the converter is bad your batteries will not be charging up.
Our 5th wheel uses hydraulic power to drive the slide motors. There is a fitting on the motors that you can turn to manually pull in the slides.
Check the owners manual for info.
If you haven't done so, google your problem.
Call the manufacture to find out where stuff is.

Get that tech back to finish the job. Don't pay him anymore money.

i caught that,
i googled it to verify it was a MH
at one time Winnebago ind, made also made trailers

but just because 'you' knew, and i suspected a MH

doesn't mean the majority of responders know that

many here have NO mmfg & model knowledge about RV's beyond their own particular model

Thank all for the great responses. Very helpfull. Great forum with people really willing to take their time to help. . I have a place to start. Ill be fine . Im alone with no hurry. Its so nice here at mckinney falls that i might stay a few more days . Maybe crank them in by hand. Good exercise. Randy
