Stumbled on to a Couple of Things/Ideas This Winter

1. Camping World was offering one year membership in Good Sams if you could produce a Military ID. Active or Retired

2. My camper door latch always seems to need lube on the bolt so it will close easier when the bolt hits the striker plate. Of all the things I tried for lube, nothing beats PAM. Spray a shot on your finger and rub it on the bolt surface that hits the striker plate.

:h But that 1 1/2 hour wait in line to get propane in SC didn't "learn" me much.

I now use only Silicon spray. BUT beware you have to read the label and make sure it is 100% silicone. I found a lot of my old time favorites are adding graphite to their silicon sprays. Which will leave you with black streaks coming down all over your RV from where ever you spray it as you go down the road. :R

Wow! and in a real pinch, you can just wipe the door hinge and smear it on your frying pan! Wow! I've always been an advocate of having items in my camper that can be used for more than a single function! I think I'm going to spray everything now, so I'm prepared for the next time I forget cooking oil! Will it work on the ball of your hitch too! (yummy!) ๐Ÿ™‚

Just an FYI, do not lick trailer ball when temps are below freezing.:)

So much to experience, so little time.

I have my can of WD40 sitting next to the roll of duct tape in my trailer door storage pocket. There is also a compass and level gauge in the pocket as well.

Pam is nothing more than light cooking oil and propellant. Sure it will work, but so does WD40 or any of the other spray lubricants found in Auto parts stores. The big problem with all of them is besides the greasy residual left is they all will attract dirt. Which eventually you will have to clean up. I personally like my dry lubricants much better thank you.

PAM also works if you have rug rats with toy trucks etc. that the axles squeal on, just spray the axle, and if the kids get it on their fingers it won't hurt them.

PAM also works well in the wheel wells if you expect to go through mud
