Surge protector remote display

I have a hardwired Progressive EMS-HW50C surge protector with a remote display. Recently the remote display stopped working so I checked both ends of the cable from the EMS-HW50C to the display and they both appear to be fine. I have not driven any screws or drilled any holes in the wall where the cable runs. Any ideas?

You said you checked the ends. Did you unplug and re-plug?

And if you did, As someone said, Lifetime Warranty. Let Progressive fix it.

One of the nice things about RV's .... (true short story)

I have a Motosat Sat-TV dome which I used to use.. Well it did not work right.. So in my travels I stopped in to Salt Lake City (Where Motosat was located before they closed) and they fixed it.

X2 - we had this problem once, called Progressive and they had us unplug the line and plug it in again. all fine...
  • On mine the plug in phone type cable sometimes is loose on either end and replug it and in it works again.
  • Call Progressive. I'd also try a new data cable and it is NOT a phone cable.
  • Is the on / off switch in the on position? Since ours is down low, sometimes it gets turned off by magic as no one claims responsibility.

Your EMS-HW50C is covered by a lifetime warranty, tech service is available even outside normal business hours by calling 919-267-6964, so why are you wasting time here? :h

    Call. ;)

  • If you have only one display module temporarily try another wire. It is supposed to be a data wire not a telephone wire. If you also have the second remote display make sure you haven't accidentally switched the control module to the other display. I'd try switching the non working display with the working one to confirm its defective. If it works then switch the inputs between the two displays to see if the switch module is faulty. You can call Progressive and see if they will send you another wire to test it.
