Suspension Upgrades

I currently have the MorRyde CRE3000 and would like to upgrade and wet bolt my fiver. Has anyone studied or evaluated the MorRyde LRE/SRE4000, Dexter EZ Flex and Lippert EquaFlex systems as upgrade for price/value/effectiveness? LCI has a video comparing the EquaFlex to the CRE3000, and although a marketing tool, it appears to be clearly superior, but a comparison to the other two mentioned above would be more worthwhile.
  • With some additional research I found enough info to rule out MorRyde, so it is between the Dexter and Lippert systems. This comparison from Dexter makes it looik like EZ Flex in a clear winner is you just look at numbers:
    Dexter comparison
However, if you look at the purple lines for each, which shows the bumps felt by the trailer, EZ and Equa Flex are very similar with one rough spot for Equa Flex, making them closer than the spiked numbers indicate. MorRyde looks bad here but we don't know if that is the 3000 or the 4000.
But then, it appears that the Equa Flex can add some height, so that is a consideration as well. I will have to see how things line up with my new F-350 when it comes in, but it rides nose high for the F-150 when adjusted to clear the rails.
  • I have the EZ Flex. In hindsight I think these shock absorbing equalizers are a bit over rated. I do really like the heavy duty shackles and greasable bolts.
  • I used the Dexter ezflex. I figured for $150.00 it was far better than the original links which had worked fine for 14 years. I would guess that there may be systems with more cushioning but do I need it for $500 or more? When I go inside the rig everything seems to ride pretty good. The thing that I like the most is the wet bolt kit and figured I'd just throw the EZflex on while I'm at it. 6,000 miles and they look the same. They warranty it for 2 years so if it lasts 4 years that's $40.00 a year for a rubber maintenance part. I can live with that.
