Tapping into propane system for outdoor stove

My 09 Cambia has a 18 gallon propane tank. I have a free standing stove that I use for my wok. What are my options for propane. This coach has limited storage space so trying to avoid carrying a

typical 5 gallon cylinder.

    Extend-a-flow

In my PUP and TT days.. That is EXACTLY what I used, works great.

Now I live in a great mobile home,, I use the "Extend-a-Stay"

Too bad Marshall Brass got out of that business, but another company has stepped up to the plate.
  • I added some more details to my message after you quoted it, and changed the link because the first link I posted also has a tank that is very very short, but the same diameter around as the bigger tank. I didn't want you to order the wrong one.

    I like that. Thanks.
  • I know it isn't what you asked, but I got one of these 1 gallon propane tanks. It is 7.5 inches in diameter and 12.5 inches tall. It holds 5 times the propane of the little 1 pound bottles, and 1/5 of the propane of the larger 20 pound tanks.

  • Well no outside connection from the mfg.

The grill is actually a two burner camp chef explorer. Large burners excellent for a wok. I can put a regulator in the line to decrease the pressure as if it was getting fuel from a portable tank, correct?

This is what we have used for several years now on our Class A and now B+. Saves carrying a separate tank that takes up valuable room.
  • A lot of LP grills aren't designed to work on the 11" at the outside connectors. You can contact the mfgr of your appliance to see if it will work and/or if they have the right parts to make it work. Otherwise the extendaflow will give you full tank pressure, if that's what you need. Craig

Are you sure you don't already have a propane connection on the outside already of your 2009 Itasca CAMBRIA - Might be hidden by a small outside locked door - alot of RV's come with the outside BBQ setup... ??
