They weren't in the business. Northshore Power Company licensed the Honeywell name and glued it on Chinese generators. Generac bought out Northshore. Now Generac is gluing the HW name (as well as the Generac name) on different Chinese generators.

Northshore also marketed other non-inverter generators under the HW name. Generac will probably do the same.
