Thetford 2 pedal RV toilet - one pedal broke &%#!

I have a 2004 Terry Quantum with a Thetford 2 pedal flush... one adds water the other flushes. One of them broke and went all the way to the floor. Does anyone know if there are repair parts available or should I just order a new toilet?

Any help would be great! Thanks!

Nowhere near Houston - near Cincinnati right now.

  • I believe the serial and model number are either above or below the pedal. Thetford customer service is very helpful identifying what I needed

A lot depends on the model- I would bet you have an Aqua Magic IV, and that fix would be a cable replacement package- an easy and cheap fix, Thetford p/n 24571.
But.. there are a lot of 2 pedal Thetford models, all using different parts.

That is what I am afraid of... I am not in Lakeland, Florida at the moment but when I return I will have to make a decision!

    Thanks... :C

  • Thanks - I'll check into a new toilet but also check into parts now that I know they could be available.

    Appreciate the replies...
  • I just repaired my pedals with a kit that included all the working parts. It was a simple three screw replacement. It could be the spring that controls the pedal slipped of the hook or broke.
IIRC kit was under $100.00 shippped
  • Yes, parts are available, at least they were, still, for an Aquamagic, which predates yours by a number of years.

I repaired my old throne but if I had it do again, I'd replace the whole thing. A new toilet can be had on E Bay for around $125-$150.
