bare wheels are so incredibly ugly

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like to see the clean steel of the rim, nicely painted. If it isn't I can see it needs cleaning and painting.

When hidden by a shiny false front I get suspicious about what is going on in there. Loose lug nuts, corrosion, etc. Let the rain wash away the dirt and the sunshine dry it. I am a little envious of the new wheels allowing the brake disk and calipers to be seen and instantly evaluated by the experienced eye.

And that is why god gave us Alcoa polished aluminum dually wheels!

For simplicity's sake, I'd love to go the route of Harvey51, but my bare wheels are so incredibly ugly. I'm not huge on appearance, but some things just have to be hidden!

My approach was to ditch the wheel covers. I can easily reach the inner and outer valve stems with my gauge, which has a straight head and an angled back head. Of course I'm a guy whe respects utility much more than appearance.

What is needed is a extended valve stem that will let you quickly check your tire pressure.

Braided Extenders have a very bad habit of leaking and coming loose from the attaching points whipping around tearing out the valve stem and causing catastrophic tire loss. I have experienced this.

I'd spend the big end of an hour checking tires, and they'd usually need air. I just checked all six in a MINUTE total, and they did NOT need air.
