Unknown control lamp in dashboard

Question

My friend bought a tripple E Commander II motorhome.Diesel engine.
There is a control lamp in the dashboard wich will light up sometimes. The problem is, that nobody knows somting about this control light. It is a yellow control light wich looks like a gear wheel with a exclamation mark inside.
Is the anybody who can tell me something about this control light?

According to (I kid you not)- http://dashboardsymbols.com/, that is an electronic shift malfunction indicator.

Anyhthing with an exclamation point is usually a "Trouble" indicator  Gear suggests transmission.. but that is all I can tell you.
