Ventline vs Elixir Roof Vent

I need to replace two damaged roof vents - not just the cover but the entire unit. As far as I can tell, I currently have the Elixir vents.

However, the Elixir roof vents are no longer being manufactured so I'm planning to replace with Ventline roof vents.

This project seems to be very straight-forward but I wonder if Ventline is the way to go or should I be considering another product.

I'm planning to run a bead of Dicor around the bottom of the frame where it contacts the roof (which is fiberglass) and then finish off with a coat of Geocell Proflex.

Comments/suggestions welcome! Thx, Rob

What problem did you have with Proflex?

I have used Proflex with great success - I love the way it's just "painted" on with a paint brush. Never had a leak!

Get the Ventlines and go. They were competitors but equal IMHO. As for the Proflex? Why not simply finish the job with the left over Dicor?? I have only used Proflex once and will never again use it.
