VERY Noisey new Air Conditioner

Question

Hi,We had Camping World install an New Dometic high Performance heat Pump in our 5th wheel. Outside the coach the unit is whisper quiet. however inside it sounds like a torando. My wife and I have to shout abouve the air noise. The noise seems totally attributed to the airflow. simply turning the fan on low sounds like a huricane.....Is this normal or has Camping World done something improper in the install? It is a ducted system ThanksDan

you can get some astrofoil and greatly reduce the noise.Aswell as foil tape it sounds like they did not seal the seams going into the ductwork

We have a Dometic heat pump, non-ducted, in our bedroom and the air noise is pretty loud. The main AC is also Dometic and loud air flow. I think when you try to move that much air through those small ducts you can't help the noise.

Noise like this is common if they did not seal off the plenum to the duct work correctly. Doug
