Water and Boondocking 101 Dumping Gary and Black water

If a dump station is close I'll put the tote in truck bed and pump into it with the FloJet...then gravity drain at the dump station.

Otherwise like 'skipnchar' I'll hook up and go dump and get it done in one trip.

I like your idea however a bit more capacity would be better.
You can accomplish essentially the same task using a 42 gallon Barker tote and a macerator pump.
I like your set up a can see the advantages but I'd like to see at least 80 gallon capacity.
That way it could carry both of my 40 gallon waste tanks.

The advantage of the blue boy is that it still can be gravity filled and towed or loaded into the truck and carried to the dump station when required.

:) I was gratified to read the words "dump station" in the last line of your report. I was fearing I would read a different ending. When we boondock it is often 20 miles or more to the nearest dump station. I've always found it much easier to hitch up and take the whole trailer to the dump station which then allows refilling the FW tank as well as dumping the waste tanks at the same time. Making four or five trips with a blueboy would be totally unacceptable.

The 1 inch hose is used to pump the output from the 12 volt pump which chops up the waste from the 3 inch hose and pumps it into the smaller 1" hose. We pull the lever from the black tank first and after that is done... pull the lever for the gray.. so after that is done not a problem with the small hose as it has only gray water left in it.
Good question but we never worried about what is left in the 1" black hose since the last thing through it was the gray water.

So far, not a boondocker.

When you are finished with the grey water flush out, what happens to the water in the black 1" hose?
