- down_homeExplorer IIIf you mean your fresh water system everyone says forty generally.
The tubing and crimps they use now make me nervous but so far no leaks in 8 years. I like eighty pounds, in the shower but most reccomend not over sixty. Our pump, puts out, my guesstimate, 50 lbs. Check the condition, of your plumbing. You can;t go wrong at forty p0unds apparently. - joe0508Explorer

I figured 50 but it is a 93 model.I think what i will do is get a gauge and see what the pump is putting out at the faucet and let that be the judge.

bumpy - Dave_H_MExplorer III set mine at 45 for my camper.
- BobboExplorer IIMy 2007 Winnebago manual said 40psi. I bought a spare pump that only did 50psi so I contacted Winnebago to ask if that was OK. They responded that was OK, but stay with 40psi on shore water. They talked about pressure spikes when other folks turned off water flow. It isn't an issue for me as 40psi supplies plenty of water for my needs.
- 69_AvionExplorerMy Watts regulator is factory set for 50#.

Good figuring... On man motor homes the seals on some of the valves start to pop at around 60 PSI, 50 is a good margain of safety.. The pipes can take 100 or more but the valves can not.
I have several pressure regulators and have found the folloiwng.
The brass or plastic cylinders (Regularo ones) Major flow restriction.
The "High Volume" or High Flow" ones. Still major flow restrictions
Sur-Flo, this is the one built into most motor homes.. Good but under test Static pressure 50 PSI,, (By the way that is what it is set to). Dynamic (Dog shower) 10.
Watts 3/4 inch, 10 years old.. I think it's shot. static 50, Dynamic 20
Brand new took it out of the box Wed, ZURIN (A Watts Knockoff) 3/4 inch, Static 50, Dynamic 50..

ME: HAPPY! - wa8yxmExplorer IIIIt is a 3/4 inch threaded in and out. that's all I can say as to the model (It is outside, I'm inside)
I suspect the Watts would (did) do as well but it is 9 years old and i a rebuild might just help it, With age some parts stiffen and do not work as well.. (This is a fact) I seem to remember when the Watts was new it worked about the same though I never actually put a gauge on it.
I can not find the box the Zurin came in.. Looked again Model 70XL
