Last fall, as part of my winterizing process, I drained all the water lines in our camper. Now, after beginning to use the camper again I have noticed that my pump doesn't stop running. I don't use the pump very often, as mostly use the city water hookup at the CG. I do however keep water in my fresh water tank throughout the summer just for whatever reasons that may arise, such as hand washing after everything is disconnected from the CG and begin to head back home after the weekend of camping (just an example). I have noticed though that when in such occasions that the pump never cuts off. Today I left the pump on for about 3hrs and it ran the entire time without cutting off. Also, with plenty of water in the fresh water tank, when I opened the faucet on the sink, I had ok pressure for only about 15 seconds and then it dropped down to nothing, almost like it was out of water or had air in the lines but, the water would eventually just stop and I would have nothing.
I'm wondering if there is a way to reprime the pump or if there is something else that I need to do?
Any help would be appreciated.
