Water pump not pumping

I went to de-winterize today and I am not getting any water from the water tank.

Last winter I disconnected the strainer from the pump and attached a connector with a tube that ran into the anti-freeze... worked fine.

I took the connector and tube to the antifreeze off and hooked up the the strainer with tubing from the water storage, turned on the pump... but no water made it to the pump(yes I put water in the tank).

The pump sounded quieter than usual, so I took the tube off the pump to see if there was any suction - nothing I could feel.
I just had the pump replaced last year... I am hoping there is something easier/simple that I am overlooking.. any help would be appreciated...
