Water pump

Maybe asked many times. I am not new to RVs but at times there is a question or two. Water pump, runs well but pulsates, good steady flow, but pulsates. Full fresh water tank. In 2007 Keystone Outback. Thanks

W/ that wee bit more info, I'd say that the pump's capacity is more than a single faucet's flow, so of course its going to continually cycle on and off rapidly,....otherwise defined as "pulsating" ??
Now if it didn't do it when 2 faucets are open, then we would know that to be the case.

Adding an accumulator tank would smooth out your pump operation.

X2, mine pulsates, but I'm used to it now and don't want to spend the money for an accumulator tank. JMO

  • Well, you'd never know what the real problem is given all that information.
Why is getting information in a question like pullin teeth.

Anyway, if the pump churps now and then w/ all the faucets off, an your feet ain't getting wet, don't worry about it, just leave it alone,.....or turn the switch off if you can't stand it. It will probably quit one day, just like it started.
  • Every faucet closed and pump pulses? You have a leak or the pumps check valve is bad. Pump pulsates when a faucet is open? Totally normal
