Webber Q1000 LP grill question

Hi. I had a quick LP connection installed on my RV so I could power my grill without using a 20# or little bottles. I bought a 10' line, with male end for the RV and female end for the grill side. It just occurred to me that my little grill already has the regulator and won't fit onto my hose. The LP coming from my RV has already gone through the RV regulator, so pressure is stepped down already.

Has anyone been able to adapt these grills to a direct hookup? I'd want to unscrew the regulator from the grill and hook directly into what looks like about 1/4" line.

Can't believe I didn't realize this and can't return the grill for one that is designed to work.
  • Here's a discussion of the topic. Yes, you will need to remove the regulator from the grill and buy whatever fittings are needed to connect your hose to the hole where the regulator was:

  • You can remove the grills regulator. Several folks have done this.
  • If you watch the vid, the extend a stay is installed BEFORE the MH reg. which allows you to leave the grill regulator for use with the portable small bottles.
