6 hours before you posted he stated it WAS a Circuit Breaker and WAS connected to the jack. Doug- wa8yxmExplorer IIII would guess a circuit breaker. If you can get to the flip side of it any model numbers or product names printed on it will be of great assistance.
- RobWNYExplorerdougrainer you are exactly right. It says "Line Load" on one side of it and on the other it says circuit breaker Push to Reset. Red Positive lead attaches to the battery cable, Black lead goes to the Jack. Problem solved. Thanks everyone!
- It looks like the Circuit Breaker that one of the Electric Tongue Jack makers supply with the Jack kit. Follow the 2 wires. One should go to the Positive of the Battery and the other to the Jack. Doug
- westendExplorerIt's a circuit breaker or a switch, either of which may prove useful for an electric jack or stabilizers.
Do you have a hand held meter? - jplante4Explorer IIWell, if you got that pic from the internet, what website did you get it from? Are there any clues from that site as to what this is? A file name on the pic? Can you back up the URL and get to a website and post that URL? Maybe we can figure it out then.
- fulltimedanielExplorerI think this is, and this is a guess, a resetable 50 amp fuse/breaker.
- RobWNYExplorerI'm going to have to see if I can get out to my camper later today and see if I can get a better photo than the one I posted. I know one red wire goes to the positive battery cable but I don't think mine has 2 red wires. I just thought someone might know what that doohicky was. I'll post a new picture when I have one. Thanks
- BFL13Explorer III have never seen one of those. The button is interesting. IMO take the top off as when attaching wire lugs. Might then see what it does between those two red (pos) wires. Are they the same wire path or two different circuits? Is the thing on the battery post too or just lying there in the battery box to keep it out of the weather?
- RobWNYExplorerBFL13, I took that picture off the internet just to show the push button thing. I can't get to my camper at the moment to snap a photo of mine. It's definitely not to keep the wires up. It has a push button function but I don't know what it does. Shut off? Circuit breaker? Something for the electric jack?
