What Time delay switch/relay/breaker for portable genset?

On my Newmar, it is the automatic transfer switch.

National Controls Corp makes great solid state totally sealed timers that could control a dual pole 120 vac relay. They are adjustable and utterly dependable. Available at your local electrical supply warehouse. Probably have to order it.

You need a DELAY ON

Transfer switch has the delay built into it.

The OP is asking about the shore power cord plugged in to a portable genset- transfer switches do not delay on the shore power side.

Can't you use the main breaker on your 120 panel?

If one were motivated enough to flip a breaker twice, why not go out and manually start the genset and manage the shore power cord?

A Progressive Industries EMS (or similar) has a time delay before connecting external power to the RV, besides providing other highly useful protections from bad power or miswired pedestals.

Have your wife get up a make the coffee, let them do what they do best.

You are supposed to Rise and Shine long before allowed generator hours start. Fall in outside your Rv for Morning PT, then have breakfast. Sleeping in!!! You can sleep when you're dead.

The gen remote start is so you don't have to go out in the rain, but the gen isn't supposed to be out in the rain, so the whole thing is bogus.
