Where can I find my B.I.R.D.?
I have a 2002 Winnebago Adventurer 32V on the F53 chassis. There is a Banks Powerpak but I think everything else is stock. The rig has a Intellitec PMS. I noticed that with the engine running, both the house and coach batteries were charging at the same rate all the time. I assumed that there was a BIRD somewhere but can't seem to find it. Winnies literature does not mention it and I really don't see it in the house schematic and the BIRD is an after market thing for the chassis.
I found that there was power going through the contacts of the solenoid for the AUX power solenoid. I checked and even disconnected the solenoid actuation wire and no change. I jumpered from the Battery to the solenoid coil and the solenoid actuated in a normal way. Now the solenoid is operating with the AUX switch but it does not seem that the engine alternator never charges the battery.
I haven't had a chance to replace the AUX solenoid and I have looked and can't find the Bird.
I did download the installation and trouble shooting manuals from Intellitec. I know my Bounder had the first in the series of three BIRDs but I can't find one. It is definitely not near or in the battery Aux and Disconnect solenoids.
