- 2oldmanExplorer IIYou won't likely find an INverter. You will likely find a CONverter. Just follow the humming noise.
Wow..your first post in 9 years. Must be a record. - jrnymn7ExplorerBob, do you mean converter?
converter does 120Vac to 12Vdc.
inverter does 12Vdc to 120Vac. - First lets get to the correct terminology.
A converter changes 120v A/C to 12v D/C.
An inverter changes 12v D/C to 120v A/C.
Now if you are looking for your converter start by finding you fuse/breaker box. Now figure out how to get behind it or under it. You should find your converter there or very close to there. I have a different type and year of trailer but my converter was actually plugged into an outlet on the bottom of my fuse/breaker box. and the cord was only maybe 2 feet long. - bpalinoExplorerYes must be a converter. We have no humming noise at all. So strange as we have owned motorhomes and campers all through our retirement and I have not had a hard time finding it before.
Thanks - bpalinoExplorerThe DC fuse panel is in the bathroom closet with a master switch to shut it off. The main breaker panel is in the side of the cabinet where we put the TV. It has to be somewhere close but we can't find it.
Bob - filrupmarkExplorerMy guess would be somewhere fairly close to your 110/12volt power center. Probably behind there. On many fifth wheels the rear wall of the pass thru storage is removable to access many of the rigs systems . Try looking there. Good luck on your hunt.
- Chris_BryantExplorer IIAlso look near the batteries- many fivers put the converter up in the front compartment.

What is the model number of that panel?

Bob
Have you removed the cover plate to see if the converter is integrated into the lower section?
Or remove the whole business and look just behind it.
Otherwise turn on all the lights and listen for the hum or the fan.- kaydeejayExplorer

Don't know if yours is similar but the converter in my 27' Sunny is behind a cabinet door below the entertainment center. It backs onto the breaker panel that is accessed from within the bathroom.
I have a 2004 Sunnybrook 30 foot 5th wheel that I just purchased. Have owned trailers for many years and I can't find the inverter in this rig anywhere. Is there anyone here who could help me??
Thank you,
Bob
It plugs into an outlet right next to the breakers. If you have a similar plug the converter will not be far away. Just follow the wire.
Good luck - Dennis_M_MExplorerCould be almost anywhere! Logic says near the power source and/or the batteries. On my fiver the power cord is left rear, the batteries in rear compartment with spare. The converter? In right front compartment! Go figure.
