Wide Trax Axel Set-up and Smaller Tires

Is anyone familiar with the Heartland North Trail Wide Trax axle system? The camper we are considering has this, which I think is simply axles set wider apart than typical. But the trailer also comes with smaller tires than a typical travel trailer of this length (14" tires versus the 15" or 16" I am used to). Anyone know why that would be? Should I be concerned about the smaller tires or does the Wide Trax system account for that?
