Wireless thermostat for Dometic LP furnace?

We've grown to love being able to control our home heating system from our bedside. Are standard units compatible with our Dometic furnace, or something there a 12v specific type available. I believe most home units run on 24v. Anyone have info on this? Alternatively a unit with a digital screen would be the next best thing.
  • Honeywell has a $99 WiFi enabled digital thermostat that may work for your furnace or furnace and A/C combination. The downside is that it requires a 24 volt 'C' wire connection, so that would have to be accommodated somehow.

I'm using two Honeywell 7-day programmable digital stats for my two Hydroflame furnaces and Dometic A/C's, but they're not WiFi or Bluetooth equipped. They operate on two AAA backup batteries since there's no 'C' wire installed. The alkaline batteries last about a year.
  • I have a Lux thermostat with a handheld remote, but, I don't believe they're made anymore. I recently shopped for a replacement as the remote just quit working, but was unable to find anything unless you had internet.

here is one option. not inexpensive, but it really does work well, at least with our coleman, and it is designed to work with dometic as well.

nice features include the ability to choose or switch heat source from gas furnace to heatpump/heating coil, easy to change between high/low fan, setback etc.

That's more than I need, or want to spend. I'm looking for my furnace only but I appreciate the response!

You will NOT find anything sub $250 for a 20 year old system. This Micro air will not work with a 20 year old Dometic control system. Even the out of stock Dometic $95 will not work with your 20 year old system. You will have to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade the Dometic Electronics AC/Furnace packages to make any remote system work. Doug
  • Need a LOT more info to answer your question.
    1. Is this for the 2000 A/S LY motorhome? Or Trailer?
    2. Does your existing wall tstat control the roof AC AND the Furnace?
    3. Or is the furnace on its OWN wall tstst? Doug
