Depends on what you actually bought. But the converter has three wires from the AC side usually and two for the DC side.

But you can wire up the stand alone models too, I've done it both ways and prefer the all in one approach like the link above. Some like the converter close to the batteries, but my RV's had the power panel box fairly close anyway.
