wiring new power center

Hello!! New to rv.net and its forums and need some help. Wiring a new "mighty mini" converter, charger, power center and for a NON-electrician instructions are vague. Does the ac side need to be grounded to frame of coach? Also, calls for a 30amp main breaker and a 15 amp "branch" which I have snapped into place. Diagram has no explanation on wiring branch or how it funtions. Looks like I can wire 2 wires per breaker and a place to wire 2-3 to a "hot" bus? Thanks for any and all help! Custom Champion

This is the wiring diagram of my WFCO Power Distribution Panel. Almost too congested to see anything...

This more simplified version maybe shows things alittle better... Disregard the fact I am using two converter/charger units in my setup...

This is a typical shore power wiring setup...

If you have any doubts go seek professional help - Wired up wrong could destroy your appliances including your new power distribution center and converter.

    hope this helps...

  • The incoming power connect Hot (black) to the main 30a breaker, Neutral(white) to the Neutral bus, Ground(green) to the ground bus. Yes the ground bus should have a separate wire from bus to the RV frame.

The 15a is a branch circuit to feed accesories or converter. Connect hot to the breaker and neutral/ground to thier respective bus.

Insert more branch circuit breakers before you double up on anything.
  • Please get someone that knows what they are doing to help you. With the questions you are asking maybe you should reconsider doing this job.
