Yamaha EF2000iS Inverter Generator will not start

I have this Yamaha generator that's been sitting for about six months without being used now. We are getting ready to go on another trip and figured I better make sure everything is working properly. I checked everything gas, oil, spark plug and the obvious lines but can't get this generator to start up.

Any suggestions? I don't have a lot of options with repair shops in the area.
