I think you have one of three things going on with that MIL comment.
A- It's meant to be a joke.
B- This Fish dude is afflicted with a terminal case of Bullshitosis. This would be my guess as its probably a condition directly connected and caused by his case of Fordbranditis as evidenced by his signature.
C- The MIL weathered aging much better than the daughter and something funny is going on.
Personally i liked my MIL rest her soul, but I did not like her enough to drop the coin and order her a truck for @ $65K to go and get her blue hair coiffured. In any case I would not be driving around in a 11 year old truck with 250K on the ticker while the MIL was putting around in a 2023 F350 Lariat LOL.
