Recently bought a larger TV for national travel. A 2010 Toyota Sequoia Limited.
While the Toyota has crazy amounts of power and slightly more stability than the 2012 Honda Pilot EX-L did (*with low profile, UHP tires...towing the same trailer) its not exactly a night/day difference towing as expected. However, as anticipated, I do feel much better towing nationally with the Sequoia over the Pilot, especially in the elevations.
I also want to note MPG. If I retain the same (sane) speeds I held with the Pilot, typically never seeing 70mph, MPG between the two is very close. But the does Pilot holds a slight edge off interstate, where I could easily get 12mpg. Its also too easy now to go over 70mpg and not feel any difference...except in my wallet.
Buddy of mine has the Sequoia and has been quite happy with it. If you want to see night/day difference go Diesel :D. But understand probably not practically in your case nor do you need it. I find it quite amazing that I'm double your weight (not to mention other large factors) and get the same (12mpg) towing with my rig staying @ 65mph or under ;)
