1996 travel line enterprises whispering pines buying advice

We are looking to buy an older used TT, and we found a 1996 TLE Whispering Pines trailer, it is non-5th wheel, and is 32 feet length.

First, is this a good make/model? Are there any issues to be concerned about with this particular trailer. The asking price is 4800. The condition is good, with some new items like AC and newly registered.

Our intention is not so much to use it for travel but to use it as a living space for my aunt.

There are few little things we'd like to upgrade/renovate like removing the carpet and putting in laminate wood floors, is this easy to do? Also, how hard is it to upgrade things like the cabinets.

Bottom line question is this particular trailer a good one?
  • Take someone with you who knows RV's. I would question $4800 on a 20 yr old TT.
  • Fixtures are difficult to upgrade as all will probably have to be custom built. Paint or even a deep cleaning does wonders. Laminate flooring can certainly be done. I did it in mine and it is holding up great.

On a rig this old, you may want to do a pressurized leak test before final purchase to make sure any leaks are discovered. If you see many, run away from the deal.
