Hi all! First post here, but I've been reading off of the forum for a while.I bought an 01 Lance 835 a few weeks ago and it has a standard Pollock 7 pin connector for lights/charging. I've been able to get 12v/ground, as well as running lights working, but the left and right turn signal wires as well as the brake light wires coming off of the 7 pin connector (under the sink) are just sitting there unconnected. My guess is the original owner replaced the 6 pin Lance connector and didn't bother to hook anything up other than the running lights.I'd like to remedy this, but so far my efforts have been fruitless. I've located a copy of the 2001 owners guide (owners manual) and on page 31 I see a wiring diagram that shows that I should be able to just connect the wires coming off of my 7 pin connector directly to the standard wire colors (e.g. red for left turn, brown for right turn).The trouble is, I don't see any of those color wires underneath my sink! (The couple of loose wires are all wires I've disconnected while diagnosing my issue, don't worry!)Does anyone have any magical knowledge that could help me out here? Thanks!-Sam

Do you have the fuse block shown in the diagram? Maybe it's mounted somewhere else? Anything behind that winterize valve in your picture?The pictures in this thread show the fuse box just above the grounding bar on his Lance.

Nope, I've been unable to locate that fuse block, maybe it was optional? I've read other threads that suggest looking under the step but mine appears to be firmly nonremovable.

Can you see any place on the plywood wall where it may have been mounted up above the ground bar? Maybe try pulling a tail light to see what colors leave and in what direction. If all else fails you may have to string new wires somehow.

Brake lights are simply both turn signals on steady so no turn signals means no brakes. You should still connect the running lights since you get the required wide vehicle and height indicator lights.

Yep, I'm an idiot. I was sitting in my camper eating lunch and went "Duh", the 835 doesn't have wings nor tail lights. So why would it have tail lights.

Guess it's because I've been looking at 915 lately.

My 815 does because it has the optional pods for a swb truck.

And by the way, don't worry, I had a burger from our cafeteria, crow probably would have tasted better.

Well the 835 doesn't cover the tail lights, the camper isn't on my truck right now and I can't seem to find and example picture, but my truck's turn signals are unobstructed. I just assumed it would be safer with the "bigger" camper turn signals, but if Lance did not install them they must not be required.

In fact, now that I know what to google I can see another couple of examples of 835 owners talking about the fact that their camper only has running lights.

Awesome, just sent you an email.

I've removed the step (there was a piece of carpet covering it the previous owner put there to keep the original carpet clean) and I can see a handful of extra wires but no brown or red yet. I'll dig deeper in an hour or two here.

Red arrow shows the bundle of wires where the pigtail is connected to the camper wiring.

The blue arrows show where the wires go down to the floor and then to the rear in the floor.

From looking, you may need to pull either the distribution panel or charger (behind the vent) to access the wires in the cavity. Even pulling my step, I could hardly see into the cavity.

The fuse block is an option so may not be there.

The colors of brown and red should be correct.

Trace the green wire (camper running) and see where it goes. The red and brown should come out of the same wire run pathway. I would need to go out and verify, but believe it runs down into the cavity by the front of the camper down under the ground strip.

In regards to your step, look carefully in the carpet and you should find 4 screws holding it down. Once you find one, you should know where the others are.

Sending you a pm with my email. Please email me something and I will send you a much more detailed file for the wiring. It is for a 2008, but was told by Lance techs the info is still pretty close to what they do.

After I eat, I will also run out to the storage yard and look at my camper a bit closer to see exactly where the wires run. It is an 815, but the floor area is built basically the same.
