Classic symptoms of a failing wheel bearing hub. You're lucky it went as long as 153k. GMs are notorious for failed WBs at around 100k. I replaced both WBs in my HHR, my Sierra, and on my old Trailblazer.
And if one is failing, the other will not be far behind. So replace both and save a later headache. If you are handy you can do this yourself and save about $200 in labor for each hub (yes, each). As said above it's not too hard and there are plenty of you tube videos on how to do it.
