2006 Dodge Dually Brake Controller

I just purchased a 2006 Dodge 3500 Diesel Dually. I didn’t see a brake controller anywhere in the cab and I don’t see any controls that I normally see when it is built in. When I went to install the controller from my old truck I found the plug under the dash already has one/something plugged into this.

I’m sure someone here can explain this to me. The wire goes up under the dash and I have no idea where it goes. Is this a factory controller/aftermarket mounted in a strange place or possibly something else. Any help is appreciated.
  • In 2006, Dodge/Ram did not offer a factory brake controller but it was pre-wired for an aftermarket unit.
You have to use the light blue connector that's up next to the parking brake. If something else is plugged into it, it's probably an old pigtail to long-gone brake controller.
Simply unplug it and use it for your new unit.

BTW, nice find. Those pre-emissions trucks are hard to find.
