2006 Rockwood Roo new to me

I bought a mint 2006 Rockwood Roo and brought it home last night. While it was hooked to my car's electric, all of the 12v stuff worked... so well in fact, I killed my car battery.

I tried to start the car with trailer attached, but it was dead. I unplugged trailer and jumped car, I hooked trailer back up to car, and no power... NOTHING... in trailer.

I am hoping I didn't blow anything, but if I did... where do I start.

I am going home with an adapter to plug it into the 110 to see if this is a 12v problem or a larger electrical problem.

HELP?!?!?
  • I wish I could blame the Roo, but it is probably the battery as stated by bikendan.
  • first, which model did you get?
second, what is your tow vehicle?
third, have you checked the battery on the trailer?

just so you know, you have some things that are 12vDC that run off the battery and some things that are 110vAC only.

the trailer's converter will convert 110vAC shore power to 12vDC to run the 12v stuff and recharge your battery.

fuses are for the 12v stuff and breakers are for the 110v stuff.
they should both be behind a panel door, that also gives access to the converter.

my initial guess is that the trailer has a dead battery that drained your tow vehicle's battery while sitting hooked up.
