2009 GMC Sierra 3500 issue

This may be a long shot but I just developed an issue with the above Duramax. I am currently in the Seattle area and everybody is closed.
Truck has been perfect until today, has 70000 miles on it. Just traveled from CO 2 weeks ago.

Driving today and stopped at a NF pulloff, when we got back in and started engine the brake light and the ABS light was on. Then the check engine light. Shifted into gear and the indicator didn't work. Get it into drive and it will not shift out of 2nd I think{top speed 45 at 2500rpms). The automatic door unlock upon shifting into park doesn't work. The digital trans temp does not display and it shifts into reverse or drive roughly. At one point the radio backlight went out and then the door lock actuators keep clicking but not locking or unlocking.

Made it back to RV slowly and now wondering what the heck it could be.
Google says anything from ECM, BCM, TCM, and my buddy who is a Ford tech in NM says maybe ground issue.

Anybody have the same problem? Thanks for any help.

    Just saw this post this morning and had a similar problem with my 2003 and it was the transmission control moduke ,159000 m.

    Just an update, took the truck to a GM dealer in Sumner after 2 independent shops did not want to even look at it and another said they were "stumped".
    Dealer said I need a TCM.

    Check for a recall....had almost the exact same thing happen to my '09 2500....my 1st thought was batteries, but since I had just replaced the OEM with high capacity Interstates (prepping for the winter that wasn't in AK), I took it to the shop.

    They found a recall that sounded pretty similar to the Codes being thrown out......can't confirm since I've since come back to Ewe-Stun, but it would be worth checking at a Chevy dealer for recalls.

    How do they test with the truck running? Alts can cause some very screwy stuff.

    I had batteries disconnected overnight, reconnected this morning and started truck. Everything normal with the exception of CEL. Drove to auto parts store to get codes read and new batteries.

    Codes are p0880 TCM power input signal, u0140 lost communication with BCM, c0055 steering wheel position sensor "signal D", and u0101 lost communication with TCM.

    Replaced batteries and same problems as before. Now message on dash says shift limited switch to N to reset.

    Yes most auto part stores can perform a load test. But what we're all saying is that even if they test good, at 6yrs they are on their way out. So unless you want to deal with being stranded again in the next near future just replace them and don't even bother with testing.

    Enough have suggested new batteries as I would also tell you. Why not buy and see what happens as the time is up for yours.

    Let us know how it turns out.

    Just measured voltage, can an auto parts store measure load?
