My neighbor is looking to get into delivering trailers. He specked out a 15 F350 this week for $62K.
He might want to talk to the people that actually own their trucks and make a living hauling RV's and other goods. Most drive RAM's then GM's and Fords are way behind. Fish will come back and say that Ford sells more fleet trucks. Not what I am talking about.
He has. He is a retired truck driver and will be trading his 2010 F250 in. The transport company he has talked with and joining states most of their transporters are going Ford now. I know you are an avid Ford basher and are pro Dodge but sometime you will have to admit all the top 3 are pretty good trucks.
I have and do agree the top 3 are good. But I also know what I see every time I travel the highways and campgrounds where the full timers stay.
The new 6.7 Ford Diesel is better than the last two from what I see but they are not as dependable as the GM or Cummins...so far. They keep changing things so maybe they will get there?
Just look at the Mobile Suites forum. 3 years ago the vast majority were F450's now most of the new purchases are 3500 RAM/GM's.
If pointing out faults of a product is bashing, I am guilty as accused.
Our recent trip from Texas to Florida and back showed a 10:1 ratio of Fords and GM's to RAM. These are people who are pulling their trailers rather than sitting around and starring at them.
