In the Recent Pickuptrucks.com test, their EcoDiesel crew cab 4x4 payload was 14xx#, same as the Ford with the same cab style and Aluminium body. They really aren't all that different in the real world.
While my actual observations between a loaded Ram 1500 Longhorn (not top of the line, but close) and the F150 Platinum (top of the line) revealed drastic differences, I can easily accept and understand the intent of the introduction of the EcoDiesel into the market place. It's just not for me.
