There you have it. Don't mash the throttle on a diesel, roll your foot into it over 1/2 to 1 second. This isn't a race, smooth driver foot input is what is important, to allow all the computer brains to think correctly and do what they need to do before the throttle feeds a fat load of diesel to the engine. You want things to ramp up slowly.
