2015 Ram 3500 In The Garage!
Well I couldn't help it any longer after test driving a Ram a few weeks ago. Traded the 12 F-250 Gasser with the 6.2 in for the Ram 3500 CC 4x4 with the 6.7 Cummins. The Ford was a fine truck that did everything I asked of it. I just could not get used to a HD gas truck after having diesel the last 12 years. I tried, I really tried.
And with the wife and I hoping to move up in fivers in a couple years or so when the kid's are older, the 3500 made sense. Plus ride difference was minimal (if any) between the 3500 vs. 2500. But payload was #1500 to #2000 difference depending on how the trucks were equipped. Big deal!
Went with the Tradesmen package that was well equipped with chrome package, preferred equipment package, bed liner, back up camera, etc. It was the last 2015 3500 on the lot and I got a great deal at $11'850 off MSRP. Its really a great package that was priced extremely reasonable IMO.
Now I gotta get hitch rails and plug in this big boy and see how it does with my little 5'er and gooseneck! But so far I'm tickled to death with it. The difference so far between it and the 6.2 Gasser is not really even comparable. Apples to oranges I know, but wow!
Also, any helpful recommendation's from other owners of this make regarding maintenance, things to look for, etc. are most welcome!
