Any experience with 2020-older Grand Cherokees is not relevant to the conversation. As stated earlier the 2021 is on a complete new platform.
To that end, probably nobody here has ever towed with one.
My advice is, look for the smallest lightest trailer that meets your camping needs. You may need to COMPROMISE on amenities and space if you want to keep your 2021 Grand Cherokee. Yes, the mean old c-word.
The platform of the Grand Cherokee doesn't change until the 2022 model year. The 2021 is still considered 4th generation. 2022 is the 5th gen. Unless he is talking 2021 Grand Cherokee L, which isn't what the OP posted.
This is correct. The 2021 Grand Cherokee is the WK2 platform.
I tow 6000 with my 2014 regularly. It’s a diesel with quadralift and Quadra drive II. it’s a very stable, capable SUV. The HD brakes, tow package, etc are a must and I wouldn’t dare use a pentastar.
