Awesome!! I look forward to your initial review of the camper after you complete the walk thru. Do not let them force you to sign that line if you are not happy with anything on the unit.
As I read back through this, I see the information regarding your TV. I will not start the 1/2 ton debate, but I am curious as to what your hitch max is for WDH when your tow rating is only 7800lbs. My 2011 Silverado is 1200lbs with WDH, max tow of 9500lbs.
I am anxiously awaiting for my call:)
You and I both have Class IV hitches on our vehicles which are rated up to 10,000 LB total (this is hitch strength only). My F150 EB SCREW is rated at 7800lb tow, with 1200 Cargo. With my WDH and trailer connected, I'm already close to my Max cargo. This means when I load up for camping, I've calculated that I will be over my rated cargo by as much as 600lb. The only upgrades to my truck have has been the tires and active suspension springs in the rear (although I probably didn't need the AS). There really is no debate, since I know I'm over and accept that risk.
Yep, gotcha on class IV, didnt know if Ford and Chevy was using the same manufacturer therefore the same specs. Please be aware I am not talking cargo capacity, but rather the hitch specs which are found on the receiver. I do not know if Ford puts a different hitch on its different 1/2 ton versions.
I will be pushing my cargo capacity of 1537, but the 97 prowler was almost identical in weight. Keep this updated, look forward to the pictures!
