FWIW, I noticed no difference in performance between my 195 deg t-stat and the new 203 deg t-stat. However, the temperature variations are less erratic with the 203 vs. the 195.
How can you tell the erratic variation?
Most of the Ford temp gauges are like dead stick when at temp and its hard to see the needle ever move once warmed up.
Many if us 7.3L owners who have added such things as the 203 T-stat which I did with the first run of them offered by Bob Riley have added "REAL GAGES" such as trans temp, pyro, boost and coolant temp. I have all these with both pre and post turbo pyros. I even have air intake and pre pump fuel vacuum gages to monitor the aftermarket filters I have on those two systems.

Yeah my 2000 7.3 has boost pyro and trans. I would love an aftermarket coolant gauge, but nowhere to put it.
My Ultragauge reads all the other stuff including pre and post turbo intake air temp, oil temp, etc.
Its too bad Ford did not include reporting coolant temps to the computer. No way to read coolant temps with an OBDII scanner.
