A/C is running back into the trailer

I have a 2003 travel trailer and have noticed a pattern with the air conditioner's water run off. It cycles back through the a/c on to my floor as opposed to outside, but only in the summer time. Just now I heard a constant drip and what sounded like water running. I turned off the a/c and water poured through the air filter side of the a/c onto my floor. Does anyone know what would cause this or how to fix it?

Check the 14 x 14 - inch seal shown in this pictorial. It is sandwiched between the top unit and the roof and should be depressed about a 1/4-inch. There are four long bolts that youcan see from the bottom side that may have worked loose. check to see if the roof gasket is depressed all the way around.

  • Check for a plugged drain,If it is plugged with mildew pour some bleach into the tube to kill the algae growth. Some units do not have a drain hose and just dump the condensation on the roof.
  • Plugged drain channel and too much humidity!
Just thought of it but check that it is not coming between base of the AC unit at the roof line. It could be a loose AC unit and/or faulty seal.
  • I had the same problem last year. It was a blocked drain from tree debris. Take the cover off and clean it out.
