A few questions about surge protectors

Progressive Industries surge protector MADE IN USA - Life Time Warranty! Last year I bought the hard wired Progressive Industries 30 amp unit and found the installation was simple. I did put a junction box between the surge protector and the entrance plug, so removing the surge protector would be easier if I get rid of this trailer and buy a different trailer in the future. Make sure you have an additional 2 or 3 ft. of # 10 AWG wire when you install the surge protector or the wires will be too short to Scotchlok (wire nuts) in the junction box when the unit is removed. I had some # 10 three conductor SO cord left from a previous job and found it much easier to work with considering the small space I had to work with under the refrigerator. Hope this helps you.
