air bags hold up to cold weather?

I have one vehicle, my 2011 1500 Chevy Silverado. I do not like the sag when I tow even with the WDH. I am thinking air bags so I can adjust when I tow and keep a nice smooth ride when I don't. How tough are they? Will air bags last when the majority of the year is cold, typically -30's? The dealer here recommends it over an extra spring, but wanted to ask here just to make sue I am on the right track.
  • Love my airbags and they functioned well here last year at 8* while towing my 16k 5th wheel around. Won't tow heavy without them again.
  • No issues on the trucks I used them on - all weather conditions.

I use Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air bags.
  • I have had mine for about 6 years no problems. On my previous truck I had the extra leaf and I will never do that again. The air bags make for a much better ride. :)
  • Most tractor trailer rigs have airbags and travel in all kinds of conditions. I think you would be fine.
  • I have had mine now for 10 years. they last a long time! I just recently had them warranteed. they were leaking due to how it rolled over on the edge of it`s bracket. I have Air Lift bags and there was no question when I called to have them replaced. other than that they looked good and showed no signs of deterioration! Air Lift warrants them for life.
  • Tires hold up in cokd wx don't know why air bags wouldn't. Pretty heavy material. I have air bags on the rear of my MH in Wy.
