Aluma-Lite - pros and cons

We are considering purchasing an Aluma-Lite travel trailer, model 248RKS. Does anyone have any comments as to the pros and cons of this particular brand? It has a sectional leather sofa with an adjustable height, folding table for dining. Is this do-able? We've never had a trailer without a proper dining nook. It also has a back kitchen. Will the interior of the cupboards be topsy-turvy by the time we get to our destination? Thanks in advance for your input.
  • We have a 2013 Aluma-lite ultra 218ES hybrid, and have been very happy with its construction. there hasn't been any issues weve had except for the allen screw in the antenna crank not being tight, a simple thing to fix. Everything else has been beyond our expectations thus far. The only drawback is that there are not very many dealers carrying the holiday Rambler line, but I see no deficiencies in the quality and construction of our unit.
  • It looks like a really nice trailer. I looked to see if there was a Holiday Rambler dealer near us when we bought our Winnie, but there aren't any dealers near us. Rear kitches are known to take a bit more bouncing, but I think you can take measure to prevent any problems such as removable security bars and packing dishes accordingly. Holiday Rambler procucts were known to be pretty good but I haven't read anything lately. Personally, unless other information comes up, I'd lean towards purchasing a HR product before a lot of the stuff that's out there.

The best thing you can do is really look it over carefully for the quality of the construction, and how it compares to any other trailers you would consider.
Since I'm very happy with our Winnebago Minnie 2201DS...but we just got it...I recommend comparing the Aluma-Lite to a comparable Winnebago model.

After looking at the HR web page and product brochures, it looks really good to me!
