On my Andersen levelers I shortened the skinny end by 1" with a Dremel jigsaw and rounded large end corner with a belt sander. I did taper the skinny end with a belt sander so that I wouldn't need to shorten the leveler so much. They work really well. You could also use a saber saw to cut the skinny end. I also added some pull cords to make it easier for the DW to remove them. My 14" wheels are 3 1/2" apart. I added a giant bubble level so I can level the trailer while looking at it from the drivers side rear view mirror.
