Another 2014 RAM 2500 Squat
We hauled 1 1/2 tons of rock home yesterday (2,982 pounds to be exact). That load was right at our payload so my wife and I along with our young son put us over the payload by about 500 pounds.
The truck handled it fine. The steering definitely felt a bit looser, but there was plenty of power (with the 6.4L HEMI) and the transmission in T/H Mode handled the shifting flawlessly. We went about 15 miles and never got above 45 or 50 MPH.
I would obviously never travel far with that much weight on this truck, but it is definitely up to the challenge for weekend warrior jobs.
