Another air dam project

After reading about the air dams built by a few guys on here, I got inspired to make my own. It took me most of the day, but now that it's done, I'd say maybe two hours to knock one out.

So, without further adieu, here is my rendition of the air dam on my camper;

I started off with a trip to Home Depot. First stop; the plastic gutter guards. HD has an interesting gutter guard; it has a clear plastic tab running the full length on both edges. These clear tabs are very pliable, while the gutter guard portion itself is very stiff and thick. The gutter guard has some interesting channels built in that I think will preclude needing to use F channel for the bracing. Off to the metal materials bins where I picked up some 3/4 x 3/4 x8' aluminum angle bracket. This is the thin stuff. The thicker stuff was $20 for each piece. The thin stuff was half that. I know it's thin and not as strong, but I got a plan!

Then to the paint department where I picked up a roll of double sticky tape and to the hardware department for the 3/4" X 5/8" rubber foam.

Here's photos of the final product. I write up how I did it with photos to follow;

It just clears the doors!! Yea, Like... I planned that....Right....
